Punta Cana produces a large range of colors! Unfortunately separating the like colored Punta Cana has not yet been proven to breed out. So the species will always throw many different shades! This species likes moderate humidity and breeds quickly once established. Vulgare reproduces a bit slower than other species, so it is a good idea to establish a colony before introducing them to your bioactive enclosure. This way you can seed your enclosure when needed. This species does enjoy burrowing and we recommend a substrate of ~3”.
