We always like to be as transparent as possible, so we would like to make sure our customers know why we shut down our dubia sales after the bad weather. Last week we noticed a pest in our facilities that we had never seen before. After sending samples to a couple different labs we have been told they are simply a nuisance and came in with our roach feed. The safety of our customers and their pets has always been a priority for us, so when we noticed this pest we made the decision to extend our shutdown. We understand that the timing was unfortunate since so many were already out of bugs due to the winter storm, but we take any possible threat very seriously. We freeze all of our feed for 5-7 days before feeding it to our dubia or sending it to our customers, but it seems that we made a mistake and some grain pests made it past our freezing process. We have implemented a better process now, and we hope that in the future we can keep pests to an absolute minimum. Please keep in mind that most insect companies don’t do this, and that this is something we do simply for peace of mind. The last thing we want is for a customer to receive anything other than what they are buying. If you do receive any beetles or flies with your order, we do apologize. They will not cause any harm to you, your pets, or your bugs. We would like to thank you for your patience while we got this issue resolved, and we hope to have dubia back in stock in the next few days as we learn more!

Dubia are back in stock, but orders are currently delayed by up to 3 business days. Please keep this in mind when placing your order. Our customer service response time is also behind by up to 24 hours. We are doing what we can to improve these times, and we sincerely apologize for the delay!

We want you to have peace of mind, so for the next few months we will cover 100% of order issues. It doesn’t matter what the temperature is, how long your shipment takes to arrive, or whether the postal service loses your package. We do ask that you please consider the economic impact this can have on us if it is exploited, so to minimize the impact this has we ask that you please keep an eye on your tracking information and make sure your package doesn’t sit outside. If you don't think you will be home when your order arrives, we ask that you please have your package held at your local post office. Thank you for your support!
Due to the extreme heat and shipping carrier delays, we highly suggest that you have your packages held for pickup at your local post office or sign up for text tracking updates with USPS. Not only are there shipping delays, but even the times that packages sit on a hot delivery truck have significantly increased. We are seeing many customers affected by this, and where they normally get their mail delivered by noon they are now getting their mail late in the evening. This means your bugs will be sitting on a hot truck for most of the day before finally arriving at your door.
If you need your order ASAP we have a new "Get It Faster" add-on for $5, which we added for those customers who are in a pinch. The funds that we receive from this will go to our employees in the form of bonuses, as well as back to our customers in the form of freebies. We all thank you for choosing us!
