Yellow Albino Springtails 10ct. (Ceratophysella sp.)
Yellow Albino Springtails 10ct. (Ceratophysella sp.)
Yellow Albino Springtails (Ceratophysella sp.) are a unique cleanup crew species valued for their pale yellow coloration, active nature, and ability to help maintain healthy bioactive enclosures. They feed on mold, fungi, decaying plant material, shed skin, and other organic waste, supporting a balanced ecosystem while reducing the buildup of unwanted organic debris.
Their light coloration makes them easy to observe against darker substrates, adding both functionality and visual interest to tropical and temperate bioactive habitats. Yellow Albino Springtails are an excellent choice for reptile, amphibian, and invertebrate enclosures, as well as vivariums, terrariums, and planted displays.
Each culture contains approximately 10 active starter springtails along with a nutrient-rich culture media to help establish a thriving colony. Under proper conditions, they will reproduce readily and become a long-term part of your enclosure's natural cleanup crew.
Care Recommendations
- Temperature: 65–80°F (18–27°C)
- Humidity: Moderate to high humidity is recommended.
- Substrate: Moist bioactive substrate with leaf litter, sphagnum moss, or cork bark.
- Diet: Mold, fungi, decaying organic matter, and supplemental springtail food or nutritional yeast as needed.
Yellow Albino Springtails perform best in consistently moist environments. Avoid allowing the culture or enclosure to dry out, as prolonged dry conditions can significantly reduce the population.
