This product is for those who just want to purchase one item. If you plan on adding multiple items to your cart you can choose our regular Small Soldier Fly Larvae product here.

*Now packed in our new and improved proprietary substrate. Buy one of our sifters to separate the grubs from the GrubSoil™ easily.

Our Small NutriGrubs (Black Soldier Fly Larvae) are less than half the size of our Medium CalciGrubs. They are a great staple food item for many small species of reptiles, hatchling reptiles, amphibians, inverts, fish, birds, etc. They can be stored at room temperature or they can be cooled down for a longer shelf-life. Wine coolers, regular coolers, or under an air vent works great. Most fridges are colder than the recommended 55F and could kill them.

Pro tip: If you notice some of your grubs turning black, they are close to the "fly" stage. Keep them until they turn into a fly and watch your pet go after them! It's excellent enrichment for your pet, and they are a slow-moving fly, so they are easy to catch. Plus, if your pet doesn't like the grubs, it should like the flies!

Great food for:

  • Bearded Dragons
  • Chameleons
  • Lizards
  • Geckos
  • Chickens
  • Birds
  • Fish

NOTE: Our black soldier fly larvae are fed an extremely high-quality, plant-based diet to deliver optimal nutrition for your pet. However, this does mean that they tend to grow and pupate faster than black soldier fly larvae from other breeders. For best results with our black soldier fly larvae, make sure to keep them cool (~55°F) and only buy one month's supply at a time.

Excellent!

Our 4 month old Bearded Dragon loves these. We got a 1000 pack and it lasted a month. We kept them in a small cooler and added a thermometer so we could add a frozen water bottle if it got above 50. These are so much cheaper and easier to keep then crickets. Plus no dusting! We plan to buy monthly.

Best LARVAE a reptile could ask for!

My newly hatched leopard geckos love the small solider fly larvae! All arrived live and well and the geckos gobbled them down! I could not ask for better grubs, customer service and treatment! Dubia.com is amazing!
