Crickets are likely to drown if given a typical water bowl to drink from, but hydration is an essential part of gut-loading feeder insects — as well as keeping them alive long-term. Sponges, hydration gel, and water crystals are often used as an alternative.

Exo Terra Replacement Foam is a replacement foam insert for the water dish that comes with the Exo Terra Cricket Pen. For good hygiene, these foam inserts must be replaced whenever they become damaged or soiled.
