Egg flats are a fantastic way to increase the surface area inside your dubia bin or colony, as well as for your crickets. They also provide great hiding places that dubias need to THRIVE and multiply optimally! Simply place the egg flats vertically in your colonies so your bugs can use them.

Why buy egg flats, rather than re-use the ones in your fridge?

Because the ones in your fridge have been exposed to raw eggs, and may carry bacteria like salmonella that can infect your feeders, and subsequently your pet. When you use fresh, clean egg flats, you don't have to worry about bad bacteria!
