4x2x2 Glass Replacement Doors
4x2x2 Glass Replacement Doors
THESE ARE ONLY NEEDED FOR ENCLOSURES PURCHASED BEFORE 4/10/23
Worried about acrylic doors getting scratched by your lizard's claws? Worried about a snake potentially pushing its way to escape between the flexible sheets of acrylic? Are your acrylic doors already damaged and in need of replacement?
We are pleased to offer pre-cut glass doors as a great replacement for the acrylic doors that our 4x2x2 PVC enclosures come with. Glass is inflexible, much more difficult to scratch, and overall lasts longer than acrylic, increasing the longevity of your Reptile Habitats enclosure!
Your order of glass doors will include new screws for the door handles, as well as a rubber protective piece that installs between the screws and glass to prevent the screws from shattering your beautiful new doors.
The metal strips that come with glass doors are optional and do not have to be used.
GLASS DOORS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE FOR OUR 4X2X2 ENCLOSURES AT THIS TIME

Very happy they offer a glass door upgrade!
Massive upgrade compared to the stock doors
The acrylic doors that I received with my 4x2x2 arrived with a slight warp to them. It made them just a touch hard to install until I realized that they weren't flush, but it actually worked in my favor to sort of close the gap between the doors some more and keep more humidity in the enclosure for my ball python. The glass doors however, are a huge improvement to visual and function. They slide much smoother, sound much better when sliding, and fit more snug against one another where the doors overlap in the middle. The regular acrylic doors also cloud up quite a bit quicker and are harder to clean than glass. I'm kind of glad I didn't get the glass doors at the same time that I bought the terrarium that way I was able to see the improvements that the glass ones offer. Either way, I'd definitely recommend these to anyone who buys the 4x2x2. Be aware that these do not come with handles. They are fitted to use the handles that come with the acrylic doors, so you will need to reuse those, but they fit perfectly. Also, make sure that you install the rubber piece on the side of the glass where the screws are.
Much better than acrylic
Bought these for both my 4x2x2’s some glass was suggested for snakes going into the tanks. I figured since I got a set for my snake, I may as well get a set for my beardie. The bottom acrylic that doesn’t have a glass substitute is absolutely scratched up after a little over a month but the glass doors still look new. Definitely recommend the glass doors for beardies!
I love these doors!
I should have bought these from the beginning. Well worth the upgrade in my opinion. I had no issue with the original plexi doors but I think the glass doors look better and are more secure if you have a snake (IMO).
