Zoo Med Zoo Menu Box Turtle Food
Box turtles are omnivorous, which means they need both plant and animal matter in their diet to get the nutrition that they need. 50% of their diet should come from plants, and 50% of their diet should come from animals, although young and growing box turtles tend to be much more carnivorous than adults.
Zoo Med Zoo Menu Box Turtle Food is a moderate-protein canned diet appropriate for feeding to adult box turtles. With a tasty apple and corn as ingredients, your pet box turtle is sure to love it!
Instructions for Use:
Open can and spoon out 2 full tablespoons (1/4 can) of food per box turtle being fed. Place box turtle next to food, then leave turtle undisturbed for 30 to 60 minutes while feeding. Remove food afterward and discard.
This is not a complete diet. However it may be occasionally used in place of fresh produce within a balanced feeding rotation.
Cover and refrigerate after opening.
It is best practice to offer fresh foods as the majority of your box turtle's diet. However, prepared diets like Zoo Med Zoo Menu Box Turtle Food add essential variety to their nutrition and are good to have on hand as a backup in case of emergency.
