Zilla Night Black Incandescent Spot Bulb, 50w
Reptiles are ectotherms ("cold-blooded"), which means that they rely on their environment for warmth rather than producing it themselves. This heat is crucial to their survival, as it helps regulate metabolism and facilitates vital functions such as digestion.
The Zilla Night Black Incandescent Spot Bulb creates a more focused area of warmth than traditional incandescent bulbs, creating a more usable temperature gradient for your reptile. This incandescent bulb provides ambient heat without visible light, which means that it won't disturb your reptile's eyesight or sleep. Plus, Zilla's heavy-duty filaments yield more hours of performance compared to other incandescents.
This bulb does not produce UV.
Instructions for Use:
Most reptiles do not need supplementary heat at night. The Zilla Night Black Incandescent Spot Bulb is intended for use in enclosures that get too cold for your pet's tolerance at night. This tolerance varies by species.
Install bulb in a dome lamp with a ceramic socket and reflective interior, and place the lamp on the extreme right or left of the enclosure to create a usable temperature gradient for your reptile.
Use a digital probe thermometer with the probe placed on the basking area to make sure nighttime temperatures don't get too high, which can negatively affect your reptile's circadian rhythm and/or sleep cycle.
