Japanese Magic Potion has the expression of the Dalmatian gene of A. vulgare! The Japanese Magic Potion is different from the US Magic Potion due to the locations where the two morphs were isolated! The US line was isolated first by a breeder in Michigan (USA), and the Japanese line was isolated about 2 years after! The Japanese line has smaller size and a smaller number of spots than the US line. This species can tolerate a large range of humidity and can handle a much lower level! This makes them a contender for a range of different bioactive environments! Vulgare reproduces a bit slower than other species, so it is a good idea to establish a colony before introducing them to your bioactive enclosure. This way you can seed your enclosure when needed. This species does enjoy burrowing and we recommend a substrate of ~3”.
