This bulb does not produce UVB.

As poikilotherms, reptiles are extremely dependent on having access to a sun-like source of heat where they can warm their bodies as needed to regulate their metabolism. The purpose of a basking lamp is to simulate the heat produced by the sun, and thus support reptiles' thermoregulatory needs. Both diurnal and nocturnal reptiles should have access to a heat lamp and basking temperatures appropriate to their species.

The Exo Terra Daytime Heat Lamp is an incandescent heat bulb that provides gentle, even heating for reptiles. Although the 150w produces a similar amount of heat compared to the 100w, the 150w is brighter, which is likely to be especially beneficial for sun-loving diurnal species.

For best function, use with the Exo Terra Glow Light, Large.

If you need something hotter, we suggest the stronger and more efficient Arcadia Halogen or Zoo Med Repti Tuff Halogen.
